Friends app/Messages app/SEN not working?

Keep calm, it’s just another Terms of Service update they don’t give you a prompt for.

So here’s the route I took, and I’m someone in the know – they’re making this way too hard on people;

Locked out of the Sony Entertainment Network (the login portion, not the site) when I checked at midnight, I hopped on my Vita to ask Tyler (who’s almost always online) whether the PSN was down for him – and was caught in an endless login loop. Frustrated, I attempted to access the PlayStation Store… and was met with an error message.

I sighed, and gave up on redeeming my $20 voucher for the day…..

Then at around 3am Tyler logged in and I asked him if the PSN was down – he agreed with me that it was, but  then logged into the PlayStation website. What did his eyes behold? Another terms of service update.

Agreeing to this update (after reading the whole thing, of course ;)) will restore proper access to all services.

Oh… and thanks for the warning and the 3 hour mix-up, Sony

Not!

Tl;dr – just sign into the PlayStation website and accept the service agreement they present you with.

Hailing from Canada, he's a long time gamer and aspiring writer, hoping to spread the word of PlayStation Vita to the darkest corners of the internet - and beyond. When not playing Vita he's either spreading some news or has simply switched to PlayStation 4 for a bit of big-screen gaming. Trust me though, he hasn't gone too far.

    what?

    • Yuuki

basicly it isnt/Wasnt possible to login for him because sony changed the terms of usage but didnt made a prompt for the vita in which you could agree

    • Kyle Wakeling

They updated the terms of service, but don’t give you a prompt to accept them until you go out of your way to their website to log-in. There’s no prompt that appears on the Vita and therefore you wouldn’t know unless you were told or figured it out in frustrated trial-and-error.

Thanks! I came here hoping you guys would have something on this issue and you didn’t disappoint!

    More Sony crap lmfao

  • Jonathan Harding-Rathbone

This was doing my head in. Thought it was just me.

    • Kyle Wakeling

Nope, six million Vita owners likely felt your pain. lol

Same here Jon. You would think Sony would have somehow informed us of the change pre 3.00 release. Going to the SEN site to agree to a new TOS after just having agreed to one to do the OS download isn’t exactly something most would consider.

On another note, someone must be in a sour mood. Some of the most illogical downvotes I’ve seen ever.

I don’t think it was 3.00 release. It was after the maintenance last Thursday.

        • Kyle Wakeling

NoThru22 is correct, the 3.00 release had nothing to do with this directly (though it’s part of why the TOS were updated, along with the PS4).

That explains what I went though this evening. Glad I wasn’t the only one stuck in that loop

Thankfully, this didn’t happen to me. But then, I was on vacation in DISNEY WORLD in Florida at the time, so I had other things on my mind. Like how best to seduce those fair princesses! And by seduce, I mean muster up the courage to approach these beauties to ask them politely for their autographs and if they could please take some pictures with my daughter. They’re so nice! I got to get one with Belle and Jasmine! Oh, I got off topic.
