The Vita Lounge began as a fan-site managed by a single person, and over the last four years it has grown into one of the most visited dedicated PSVita websites on the internet, covering crucial news and reviews for the Vita. Nobody has more Vita reviews than us, and our library only continues to grow further.

Our ambition and vision has also grown with our audience, along with boasting more than 6500 news posts, over 400 native Vita reviews, a weekly podcast with over 100 episodes we also have a digital magazine – which also has a limited print run! Our aim is to cover the Vita to the best of our ability and ensure that Vita fans across the world get the information that is there and to unite us all together to enjoy the system.

As successful as we have been, we cannot do this alone and the main reason the site has been popular is due to the talented writers that contribute to content, and to further our reach and to improve we need to continually add even more outstanding individuals!

This is where you could come in. We are looking at new ways of attracting talented and passionate individuals and would like to open up some of our reviews to guest reviewers. Do you love writing about games? Do you write for someone else and simply want to enhance your online coverage? Do you like to write your own reviews on your experiences with games? If so this could be the perfect opportunity for you to showcase your ability. We are looking for someone who is truly exceptional and will help take us on to the next level.

We’re after someone passionate and dedicated; someone who thrives on working from their own direction. We’re after someone who takes great pride in the quality of their work and perhaps even someone who has designs/dreams of being in the industry. We are also after someone that can adhere to a strict deadline and turn a review around efficiently.

We are just a fan-driven enthusiast website and as such this is a voluntary (ie unpaid) opportunity, and we cannot guarantee specific game codes, but you will be have an opportunity to obtain available review codes along with the core TVL team. You will also be sent a hard copy of any magazine in which your content appears. In addition to that, we are featured on Game Rankings as well as Metacritic, which will give a great platform to show others your work.

There is no age limit, and anyone is eligible to apply, though we only receive review codes for European and North American (US/Canada) accounts so keep that in mind if you’re in sandboxed regions (like New Zealand/Australia).

Information to consider when applying should include (but not be limited to) Your PlayStation history, your Vita experience, what you think you could bring to the team, which game genres you enjoy and so on. Examples of your previous work will also be helpful.

We will also need an 800 word (minimum) review so that we can see the quality of your work, written in the style of a TVL review. This review MUST be for a game that we have not yet reviewed; as part of this process, the successful applicant(s) will have this review immediately published upon being accepted as a staff member. We will send interested applicants this list via email.

Due to the high number of applications we receive, we cannot reply to everyone. Please make sure that you understand what is being asked at this stage, applications that do not meet the standard will not be considered. There could be multiple positions available (for both NA and EU PSN accounts – being resident in these regions is not essential) available and it will go to the individuals that we feel are most suited to the role and compatible with the existing team.
